MORE INFORMATION: Living and working with people facing severe difficulties has always been part of my life.  I started by counselling employees in the City (London) who were having problems with various performance or lifestyle issues and later people with alcohol problems. I have been a volunteer counsellor for a charity providing services for people who have lost a pregnancy, baby or child, including through miscarriage or termination; people facing domestic abuse; and young people from 15 years upwards. I also volunteered for another charity counselling people who have a lost a family member in a road crash or been traumatised themselves.

Besides being a psychotherapist, I have lived in two communities working for marginalised and vulnerable people; and I lived and worked with young offenders and people with addictions. I set up and ran an online support group for people with gender identity issues and have worked for organisations dealing with homelessness, drug and alcohol dependence, welfare rights, human rights violations, mental health problems and disabilities.
